The head gardener for this private country club visited our mini-garden booth at the 2003 BC Home & Garden Show, where she saw our zinc waterfall feature. She asked us to come up with a design for a special feature to replace an existing but non-functional planter at their newly renovated main entrance. Picking up on materials used throughout the club, we designed a two-tier concrete and stone waterfall to be constructed in the planter. Water cascades gently down three channels over horizontal bands of copper coloured limestone and collects in a pool at the base. Uplights in the pool cast a soft glow over the wet stone. Along with some new pots of Taxus and Phormium, the water feature adds an elegant touch to the entrance, welcoming visitors to the club and providing an inviting place to linger.
